Museum Fatahillah

Museum Fatahillah

Museum fatahillah adalah sebuah museum yang terletak di Jl. Taman Fatahillah no.2, Jakarta Barat.

Newton's Laws of Motion, and a lots of examples!

Newton’s Laws of Moving Objects

First Law:
"An object will stay at rest or continue at a constant velocity unless acted upon by an external unbalanced force"

example:
  • Blood will rush from your head to your feet when quickly stopping on a descending elevator
  • you can dispense the ketchup from it’s bottle
  • You will fall off your bicycle when you hit a rock which abruptly stop the bicycle
  • An object will fall from a car’s dashboard when you’re accelerating your car from stationary position
  • A ball that you push on the floor will eventually stops because of friction
  • A car will drift if it turn left or right on a wet road

Second law:
“The acceleration of an object depends on the net force acting upon the object and the mass of the object”

examples:

  • It’s easier to push a shopping cart when it’s empty than when it’s full
  • Your friend is on a skateboard, a little push, he will accelerate a bit, a big push and he will move even faster
  • your friend is in a car, a little push, the car won’t move, a big push the car will barely move, all your friends push the car, the car will move

Third law:
“For every action there is an equal force but in opposite direction”

  • A jet plane will move forward if the jet create enough force
  • Rowing a boat oars to move it forward
  • You don’t fall to the ground when you’re sitting on a chair
  • You will get hurt if you punch a wall
  • A basketball will bounce back if you throw it to the floor
  • A ball hanging by a string to the ceiling, the ball pulls the string down, the string pulls the ball up, the string pulls the ceiling ceiling down, the ceiling pulls the string up
  • The earth pulls you to the ground, the ground pushes you back with equal force.

How to Concentrate on Your Study While Still Having Fun and Being Sociall

Concentrate

Concentration is the ability to direct what you are thinking to what you intend to think. We are all have the ability to concentrate some of the time. But at other times our thoughts are scattered, and our minds race from one thing to another. It’s because all of us have attention span, a time limit which we can  concentrate. Usually it is between 30 to 50 minutes. What we are going to talk here is how we could concentrate without getting unsocial and  still having fun!

For teenagers like us,
Concentrating on our study could be a real problem, because nowadays distraction could be very easily found. It could be games, musics, chats,   and youtube videos. All of them are so easily available and easy to use, and also really hard to turn them off.

From my experience, it is hard not to loose focus when there’s a chat notification on your phone. And when you start chatting, it could be hours until you remember that you have to study for tomorrow’s test.
How should we deal with this problem?
First of all, you need to organize your time. Make a schedule of your activities throughout the day, and follow it. By organizing your time you will  have more time to study without getting interrupted by other activities. Some years ago I did not organize my time well, i played so much and did my homework just a day before it will be checked. The result of not having my time organized was bad, it made me did my homework recklessly and result was not really good.

The second thing you need to concentrate on your study is putting any kind of distractions away. This could be done by having a particular place for study. So, you can focus on your study because there’s no distractions in front of you. You can do this by putting all of your study materials in a single place where you would like to study. Some of you might like to study in a quite room, while another might like to study outdoor, or even study in a room with a little music, but  the music must not have a lyric, otherwise you’ll still get distracted.

The other thing that also important is having enough sleep.  With enough sleep you will do thing better, because you can focus longer and not easily get tired. One day I slept at one o’clock and woke up at five, then go to school. At school I felt so sleepy and tired. I can’t focus that day, this is an example of how important sleep is for your concentration.

And I really suggest you to have  study partners, because they can motivate each other and reduce the potential of procrastination, they can also make studying become really fun, and make you study more lively.

I think that’s all that I want to say about how to concentrate with your study while still having fun and being social, I hope this is useful for you
